Looking to expand how many health insurance companies I work with
I would like to expand the number of health insurance providers I’m contracted with. Right now I have a service contract with Blue Cross / Blue Shield.

I’m in the process of trying to get together with Aetna and Humana.

Are there any other big insurance companies that you might recommend?

Ironically, It seems that those who most strongly advocate socialism in the modern day make up the social class Marx called “the lumpenproletariat” which he despised and desired to eliminate with the rise of socialism.

    Harry Browne
Harry Browne, we will miss you very much. Though we have disagreed quite a bit over the past six years, you have always been one of the most inspirational men in my life. Though America still falls short of what it could and should be, it’s far closer because of your work. I believe nobody since Tomas Jefferson has guided more people to a more perfect understanding of freedom, liberty and responsibility than you. You will always be remembered by your fellow Libertarians as the leader who brought the party to true national recognition. Your faithful campaign worker and supporter- Jeff Vollmer.

No Government Endorsement of Gay Marriage
I was contemplating what it was about the whole gay marriage thing that struck me as distasteful as a libertarian. I realized I had a serious problem because I was stuck looking at the issue from the perspective hand feed me by the two party media. After properly reorienting myself and clearing the mind for a moment It was finally clear, and for the first time I really had an opinion consistent with my over all belief structure. The government should not allow gay marriage. Keep reading. The government should not be in the business of allowing any kind of marriage. Marriage is a contract between individuals, government has no business being involved in marriage at all. Government should not ALLOW any kind of marriage. Marriage should be utterly separated from government regulation. Now, I seem to recall marriage as a primarily religious institution. Why on earth is the government attempting to regulate a religious / spiritual / interpersonal arrangement? Does this not step on the toes of both separation of church and state as well as the freedom of association clause?

THE demands to shut down our Guantanamo lock-up for terrorists have nothing to do with human rights. They're about punishing America for our power and success.
From our ailing domestic left to overseas America haters, no one really cares about the fate of Mustapha the Murderer or Ahmed the Assassin. The lies told about Gitmo are meant to undercut U.S. foreign policy and embarrass America.

The Gitmo controversy is about many things, from jealousy of the United States and outrage that we refuse to fail, to residual anger that we won the Cold War and exploded the left's great fantasy of a dictatorship of the intellectuals. But the one thing the protests aren't about is human rights.

Except, of course, as a means to slam the United States.

Torture? Who and when? Koran abuse? I'd rather be a Koran in Gitmo than a Bible in Saudi Arabia. Illegal detentions? Suggest a better way to handle hardcore terrorists. Maltreatment? Spare me. The food the prisoners receive is better than what I had to eat in the Army.

Another thing: Would it be more humane to incarcerate the declared enemies of civilization in northern Alaska, rather than on a Caribbean beach?

Has the Bush administration made mistakes regarding Guantanamo? You bet. The biggest one was attempting to placate the critics. By launching a new investigation every time a terrorist had a toothache, our government played into the hands of its enemies.

The truth is that the terrorists and their defenders have something in common. It's not courage, which is one quality violent fanatics don't lack. It's that neither can be appeased.

Any concession only increases their appetites. The Clinton administration's reluctance to respond to terrorist strikes encouraged al Qaeda. If the Bush administration closed the Guantanamo facility, any alternative holding center would be attacked just as rabidly and dishonestly.

If we put our captives up at the Four Seasons, we'd be condemned because somebody smelled bacon at breakfast.

You can't negotiate with terrorists. And you cannot reason with ideologues — whether they're Islamist fanatics or pathetic old lefties fishing for a cause to give meaning to squandered lives. Terrorists, French and German neo-Stalinists, and our own democracy-hating intelligentsia aren't interested in facts. It's all about the comfort of belief.

Let's get this straight: Nothing we could do would appease those who feel a need for our country to fail. We must stop trying to satisfy them.

There's a military maxim that applies to all the nonsense about Gitmo: Don't let the entire battalion get bogged down by a sniper. By attempting to respond to the wild charges leveled by those who offer no solutions themselves — who have no interest in solutions — we've allowed anti-American basket cases from Harvard Yard to the German parliament to create an issue from nothing.

Oh, and thanks to the "mainstream" media for assuming that our country's always wrong.

There is a culture of torture in the world. Blessedly, America isn't part of it. When a few of our troops make mistakes, they're punished. Given the magnitude of our task and the unprecedented conditions we face, it's remarkable our errors have been so few.

What should enrage every decent citizen is that the real torturers — from Zimbabwe to China, from Syria to North Korea — get a pass from the political left. If terrorists behead defenseless captives on videotape, it's simply an expression of their culture. But if a handful of U.S. troops play an ugly round of Candid Camera, that's a new gulag.

As someone who takes human rights seriously, I'm appalled by the lack of sympathy the left feels toward the victims of any regime other than the Bush administration. Let's shout it to prisoners everywhere: If you're not harmed by an American, your suffering doesn't count.

The left's hypocrisy is immeasurable. The grandchildren of those who defended Stalin are mortified that Saddam Hussein will stand trial. By taking such irresponsible voices seriously, we grant our critics a strength they otherwise lack and simply help them keep their lies alive.

No matter what our country does, we will never please a global intelligentsia outraged that all their theories came to nothing. We can't satisfy al Qaeda, and we can't please those discontented souls who need to blame the United States for their personal inadequacies. It's time we stopped trying.

What should our nation's leaders say about Guantanamo and our treatment of captured terrorists? A lot less.

When comments are unavoidable, try this: "We're human. We make mistakes. We fix those mistakes. And we move on. Nothing will divert us from our mission of defeating terror and keeping our country safe."

In the near future I hope to begin my own small business to operate in addition to my current job. Because I am not allowed by the great state of Illinois to start my own psychotherapy practice despite my decade of university education and several years of experience in the field, I’m planning to go into what is commonly known as “life coaching”. Life coaching generally caters to more affluent individuals and is not regulated by the state. I have some business names that I’m considering, and hope my friends here will be more supportive than they were last week when by best friend passed away, and offer me their opinions.

    Potential business names include....
    Lifeways Consulting
    Life-Choice Consulting
    Empowerment Growth Services
    Wellness Development Services
    Individual Efficacy Consulting
    Success Development Services

Please feel free to add suggestions of your own.

    Godwin's Law

Godwin's Law is a common piece of Internet culture embodied by the principles that:

The longer an online discussion goes, the more likely one of the participants will compare someone else to a Nazi.

Once Nazis are mentioned, the discussion thread is over, as there is no point continuing.

There is a tradition in many Usenet newsgroups that once such a comparison is made, the thread is over, and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically lost whatever argument was in progress. In addition, whoever points out that Godwin's law applies to the thread is also considered to have "lost" the battle, as it is considered poor form to invoke the law explicitly. Godwin's law thus practically guarantees the existence of an upper bound on thread length in those groups. Many people understand Godwin's law to mean this, although (as is clear from the statement of the law above) this is not the original formulation.

    Conservatives for Kofi Annan !!!
Let me start by saying that I hate the UN. I don’t just dislike it. I see it as a plague upon US soil filled with duplicitous backstabbers. That is why I support Kofi Annan. Let’s keep him at the helm of the UN. He is a discarded old fool, and with him as the UN’s head, UN credibility will always be tarnished and it’s power diminished. In impotent UN is a boon for the right minded US citizens. Let’s prop up this miserable failure so that he sinks the whole organization as he did his own career.

    Happy Thanksgiving
Today is the wonderful celebration where we remember our forefathers who risked much to come here to America to be free. After a hard voyage they gave thanks to God that they managed to survive and come to such a place as to be free. Unlike so many others, the pilgrims realized from the very founding of this nation the true value of freedom. When they thanked God, they did so for the food, shelter, and friendship of the natives. What they most thanked Him for was the greatest blessing of all, freedom. Today is not “Thank the Indians day” as so many would have you believe. Today is a day to thank the Lord for bounty, prosperity, and liberty. With this, we should reflect on the value of those virtues that God and the pilgrims handed down to us, and ask ourselves if we are as good of custodians of them as we should be.

    The Left needs more fodder
The new Liberal Democrat voter target demographic has been revealed. Felons. Democrats again out do themselves fighting over for the votes of the lease knowledgeable, lease successful and least desirable elements of our civilization. Why do the Democrats always seek the support of the pathetic? Only in places where crime and poverty run out of control do you find strong democratic support. Now they need to empower the criminals too? Let’s not disenfranchise the Felons. Felons should have a say in how things in our society are done. Hell, criminals should vote for the judges, after all, they know them the best. They liberals say that not letting Felons vote is racist because so many blacks are criminals. Of course they say that the criminal justice system is bias against backs, artificially manufacturing more black felons. That’s what Liberals do my friends. They take a reasonable policy that protects us all, and attempt to destroy it for their own political gain. Screw the safety of society. Let’s make felons the new soccer moms. Hell, soon they will even have PACs and lobbyists of their own. As long as the DNC gets those precious votes.

    It is done
It seems to finally be done. At long last we can again conduct necessary military actions without fear of short term political reprisals. Perhaps at long last the worthy judges duly appointed will be confirmed as they have been waiting for. The Supreme Court is again in good care. Several justices have been attempting to wait out the Bush presidency to resign, and dear Rehnquist I am afraid is quite ill and not to be serving us much longer. As expected the stock market boomed this morning, secure in knowing that tax policy will continue to leave business to help our economy recover. As dear Ronald Regan would have said, it is again morning for the city on the hill.

    Democratic Plantations
The major urban areas of America today are little more than Democratic electoral plantations. The dependant share croppers of the cities are fleeced of nearly all their earnings through every imaginable form of tax and fee from governments and wealthy land owners. They are provided some most basic services to sustain their existence and continued labors. Their dependence on those basic services necessitates their devotion to their kind benefactors by producing tax revenue and votes. Those votes further empower and enrich those at the top who use that power to spread dependency. The plantation growing larger and larger, buying up more fertile fields of humanity and giving them no other option than to harvest more tax dollars and votes in exchange for their continued livelihood.

What the Democratic party is, is an organization that sizes a farmer’s fields, and then tries to appear the good guy by providing that farmer a meager stipend of provisions.
